Pukekohe Netball Centre is home to a population of over 1670 playing members (with an age range of 7 years to 60 years). Along with Coaches, Managers, Administrators, family members and spectators more than 3000 people visit the courts every Saturday. Many schools utilise our facilities regularly for Tournaments, practises and fitness. We encourage this as a form of fostering netball. Pukekohe Netball hosts up to four tournaments annually, including the popular Counties Power Representative tournament. This tournament attracts teams from as far away as Keri Keri in the north to Taupo in the south.
The Centre is a forward thinking organisation. Eight years ago the old clubrooms were demolished and the new $700,000 pavilion was constructed debt free. The pavilion is second-to-none in the Counties Manukau region. This is now enhanced by the new playing surface laid on all 11 courts during 2004. In the 2008 season we continued the development by constructing four new courts. With the recent growth in the Franklin District, the Pukekohe Netball Centre anticipates a significant growth in membership over the coming years. |
