THURSDAY NETBALL

Looking for a great way to keep your fitness and netball skills up? Then, Thursday morning ladies netball could be for you!

It's all about having fun and getting ladies on court, regardless of experience or skill level.

So, get your netball buddies together and register a team now. Or, simply come down to the courts as an individual to see what it's all about. Introduce yourself to our umpires and we'll get you out on court for a run. 



Here is all the info you need to know:


Season

Games are played on Thursday mornings. In Term 1, 2026, we will start on the 5th of February and finish on the 9th of April.

Registrations close and fees are due on Friday 30th January.


Grades

- Women's Premier

- Women's Social A

- Women's Social B

Grades may be modified or merged depending on registration numbers. 


Games

Games will be played on our undercover courts. They will be scored with paper scoresheets.

Games are 4 x 10 minute quarters. All games will begin promptly and will be centrally timed using our clock and buzzer system.

Provisional game times are:

- 9.30am

- 10.15am

*Please note, timings are subject to change as the number of rounds will depend on the number of teams that enter. 

The draw for the first game will be available on our website by 5pm on Friday 30th January.


Rules

The games will follow standard International Netball Rules.

Equipment

The Netball Centre will provide bibs and a correctly inflated ball.

Each team will be rostered to take turns at scoring duty throughout the term. Game results will be published on our website.


Umpires

The Netball Centre will supply umpires for this competition.

If you are interested in umpiring these games, please enter your details when completing the team registration form, or email the Centre here. If you are intending to play and umpire, we can roster your game and umpiring allocations accordingly.


Fair Play

Thursday Netball is a social competition for fun and fitness. We welcome teams of all experience and ability levels.

Please make sure your team, the team you are playing and the umpires enjoy the game. 


Children

Children are welcome at our facility and use of our playground is encouraged. Children are allowed sideline, but please ensure they are supervised and do not enter the playing area while games are in progress.
